Teaching and Learning

Over the weekend, the Butterfly Home tweeted out a picture of two of their sweet babies hugging with the caption,

"teach a baby to love, and they do!"

I was struck by that.

Because in my mind, love is inherent, not taught.

If I tell Landon "love you buddy!" he says it back.

We've never really taught him that, he just knows.

But then I remembered how different these babies are growing up compared to the way Landon is.

He's growing up like I did.

Surrounded by a loving family.

Not all orphans get to experience that.

And that thought itself is horrible.

Which is why I'm thankful for the Butterfly Home.

And why our team is traveling halfway around the world.

And why we so desperately want and need hands and hearts to join us.
