In Sickness And In Health!
Yeah, that part of the vows has become more and more preeminent in our lives these past few weeks.
I just need to take a minute to talk about how awesome my husband has been.
No, stop throwing up, I mean it.
In case you missed it, I have been sick for the past, I don't know...
THREE WEEKS.
It is horrible, horrible, horrible.
Anyways, back to Chad.
Since he has been on break, he has been spending most of it taking care of me.
He has been running to the grocery store, picking up the 10 zillion different prescriptions I have been on, doing all of the cooking and cleaning...
...meanwhile taking care of a miserable, sick, can't-get-over-whatever-this-is, wife.
Seriously, what a stud.
And lets not forget the part of him not going bonkers when I wake him up in the middle of the night to ask for another blanket. or more water, or whatever.
He tells me, every night before we go to sleep "wake me up if you need anything or you take any medicines; I want to know."
No, he doesn't have to do that, but he does and I am so thankful for it.
He's been strong through multiple doctors appointments, a CT scan, the holiday craziness, and, this morning, waking up to take me to the ER when I spiked a fever.
I'm just so thankful.
This may not be the way we wanted to start 2013, but I am just so overwhelmingly thankful to be blessed with a husband who goes above and beyond for me when I'm not doing well.
...So maybe this is how I wanted to start off the year...by being incredibly thankful for the husband and life I have been given.
