Sometimes I feel like he's still that cute, squishy faced newborn we just brought home yesterday, and other times it feels like he's been here for SO much longer than 3 months!
What an absolute joy he is!
Silas smiles are easily the best part of my day. He's trying to figure out how to laugh; and while it comes out sounds more like a cough, its precious! (I'm not just saying that because I'm his mama either!)
He's still pretty stingy with smiles for people other than Chad and I, but at home they are plentiful...most often when he first wakes up.
Yeah, he did NOT get that from his mommy.
He still loves bathtime and his Wubbanub.
A new favorite thing of his is when Daddy sings to him...especially Garth Brooks!
I had Garth on in the car the other day and had to turn it down to make a phone call, and Silas actually started whining and fussing until it was back on.
He's a smart boy!
While we are still working on tummy time, he doesn't hate it as much as he used to.
I think that's also due to his visits to the chiropractor! He has been going a few times a week and is doing better overall.
As far as sleep goes, thank you THANK YOU to those who suggested babywise!
He's down to one feeding/night at around 10pm. Then he usually sleeps until I get him up and start his day at 530. Sometimes he is up a little earlier, say 430 or 5, but he's adjusting and so are we.
It takes so much stress off the day knowing his schedule is mostly predictable!
He goes to work with me, and while it's crazy, and chaotic, and stressful, its SUCH a blessing to be able to have him with me...I think I'd miss him too much without!
While the eventual goal is for me to be able to stay home with him full time, we are making it okay right now....I've just had to lower my expectations a LOT for getting much else done besides making sure everyone is fed and has clean clothes to wear!
Exciting "firsts" this month:
Silas made his very first trip to the lake, and he did awesome with the change in routine and the long car ride!
He got to go to his first of (I'm sure!) several of his cousin's baseball games. Our boy loves being outside!
He got to go to the circus last weekend for a client event! He slept some, woke up and watched, ate, and watched some more until he fell asleep! I was so proud of how well he did!
One of the most exciting, was that he got to meet his great grandparents! (my mom's parents) I feel beyond blessed that he gets to meet them and will get to meet his great grandma on my dad's side this summer!
As far as exciting things upcoming for our boy,
He gets to go to his very first Cardinals game this Friday!
We also have family pictures with Chad's side of the family!
/Our little boy is so amazing. Sometimes I just stare at him and can't believe that he's ours.
His smile makes my day and sometimes I can't believe how blessed I am to be his mama!
