Float Trip 2015!

I'm not outdoorsy.

At all.

So making it through a weekend of camping and floating with 2 dozen friends is a big deal!

We left our dogs at home, but I wish they could have come with us! A few friends brought theirs, and they did awesome!

We got less sleep all weekend than I usually get in one night, but that's okay!

It was good to get away for a few days!

Until next year, everyone!

Regionals in Indy!

Indy was so fun!

We got to see Lucas and Liz for lunch on Thursday!

And we found out auditions for the last season of American Idol was being held at our hotel.

Friday afternoon we got to go on the "Handlebar" tour of Indy. It was so fun!

Saturday night was the awards ceremony for the past year.

Some of the FA's in the region put together live music for the night...who knew guys in finance could be so musical?

Chad won an award that night and I was so proud!

Unfortunately it was time to go back to reality and back to work on Monday!

I wish we could have this weekend again and am already looking forward to next year in KC!

...Wait A Minute...

Y..Wasn't one of my goals for this year to blog more frequently?

It's July,..

...and my last post was in May!

Oh well.

So what happened in June?

After 3 months, our sweet foster dog, Shadow, FINALLY went to be with his forever family!

And Nala and Strawberry Shortcake both joined our family for a while.

Chad's parents came up the first weekend to celebrate my birthday with a trip to the Kimmswick Strawberry Festival and dinner at Zia's on the Hill.

The following weekend was Joelle and Aidas' bachelor/ette party at Tower Grove Park followed by dinner and dessert for the girls!

We celebrated my 24th, Father's Day, and Lindsay and Tyson's anniversary next with a big family dinner!

Before we knew it, it was the next weekend and time for regionals for Chad's work in Indy!

We left town Thursday morning and got back Sunday.

{That one gets it's own post!}

After regionals, all eyes were on our 4th of July cookout (that we actually had on the third!)

Possibly the biggest and best news is that I am now an Independent Wellness Consultant for doTerra essential oils.

I had been dabbling in them the past few months and had been very impressed, so after getting Chad's ok, I made the plunge into being a consultant!

I LOVE my oils and sharing them with others!

My website is:
http://mydoterra.com/amyrucker

I place orders on the sixth of every month, so friends, you can order with me (better prices!) by the fifth of the month and start to bring holistic health into your home!

Mrs. Masiulis To Be!

Joelle is joining the Mrs. club!

So naturally, we had to celebrate!

Oh, The Places He'll Go!

In true Rucker form, I am hurrying to play catch up on posts.

Life is busy, and I can't seem to stay caught up!

Landon graduated Preschool.

Yes, they had a ceremony.

And yes, I was there with a camera!

He led the room in the pledge to the Christian flag!

Yes, Aunt Amy got all teary eyed during the photo slide show they put together of the kids to "Let Them Be Little" by Lonestar!

Cupcakes and dinner to celebrate!

Where has the time gone?!

When did this little guy get so big?

Happy graduation to the little guy who's birth opened up a whole new part of my heart that I didn't even know I had!

Aunt Amy and Uncle Chad (And Dolly and Loki!) are so VERY proud of you!

Totaled Cars and Thinking Thankfully

It's been a week, so I think I have finally processed this whole thing enough to write about it.

In case you missed it, Chad was in a car-totaling wreck last Monday night on the way to his soccer game.

"Uhhh, babe, can you come get me I was just in a wreck..."

That is THE worst call to get.

So I hopped in the car and tried not to speed getting to the site.

The entire way there I was alternating between thanking God for sparing my husband, and praying that he really was ok, not just telling me so.

This is the site that greeted me when I got there:

Deployed airbag...

Front bumper taken all the way off.

The tow truck guy literally picked his bumper up off the pavement and threw it in the truck.

After hugging Chad and checking him over again to make sure he was okay, I took in the sight of the cars, the fluids running down the road, and the diverted traffic, and nearly vomited in the road.

Chad was fine except for soreness and some scrapes on his arm from the airbag.

In fact, we got in my car and drove straight to his soccer game and he ended up playing and scoring in the second half,

(It was NOT my first choice for him to go play, but I let him make the final choice!)

It looked even scarier the next morning at the tow lot.

But the overwhelming feeling and thoughts in my head was thankfulness.

Thankful God protected my husband and the driver who pulled out in front of him,

thankful for insurance to help take care of it all,

...and thankful for a mama who only lives 15 minutes away and came to look at Chad's arm and give me the hug and shoulder to cry into that I desperately needed.

Now, a week later, we are searching for a new car for Chad.

All of this is so minor, Chad is in one piece and that's all that really counts!

Play Ball!

Landon started coach pitch this week!

He had a BIG cheering section, likely the biggest and loudest!

He had 3 for 3 hits off of pitches at bat!

All dressed and ready at home!

Before the game!

Standing during the National Anthem.

/On deck.

And the hit...

He's off!

Scoring the first run!

Back to the bench!

Part of the cheering section.

What a cutie!

Happy to be outside.

Colton says, GO LANDON!
