In true Rucker form, I am hurrying to play catch up on posts.

Life is busy, and I can't seem to stay caught up!

Landon graduated Preschool.

Yes, they had a ceremony.

And yes, I was there with a camera!

He led the room in the pledge to the Christian flag!

Yes, Aunt Amy got all teary eyed during the photo slide show they put together of the kids to "Let Them Be Little" by Lonestar!

Happy graduation to the little guy who's birth opened up a whole new part of my heart that I didn't even know I had!

Aunt Amy and Uncle Chad (And Dolly and Loki!) are so VERY proud of you!

Totaled Cars and Thinking Thankfully

It's been a week, so I think I have finally processed this whole thing enough to write about it.

In case you missed it, Chad was in a car-totaling wreck last Monday night on the way to his soccer game.

"Uhhh, babe, can you come get me I was just in a wreck..."

That is THE worst call to get.

So I hopped in the car and tried not to speed getting to the site.

The entire way there I was alternating between thanking God for sparing my husband, and praying that he really was ok, not just telling me so.

This is the site that greeted me when I got there:

Deployed airbag...

Front bumper taken all the way off.

The tow truck guy literally picked his bumper up off the pavement and threw it in the truck.

After hugging Chad and checking him over again to make sure he was okay, I took in the sight of the cars, the fluids running down the road, and the diverted traffic, and nearly vomited in the road.

Chad was fine except for soreness and some scrapes on his arm from the airbag.

In fact, we got in my car and drove straight to his soccer game and he ended up playing and scoring in the second half,

(It was NOT my first choice for him to go play, but I let him make the final choice!)

It looked even scarier the next morning at the tow lot.

But the overwhelming feeling and thoughts in my head was thankfulness.

Thankful God protected my husband and the driver who pulled out in front of him, 

thankful for insurance to help take care of it all, 

...and thankful for a mama who only lives 15 minutes away and came to look at Chad's arm and give me the hug and shoulder to cry into that I desperately needed.

Now, a week later, we are searching for a new car for Chad.

All of this is so minor, Chad is in one piece and that's all that really counts!

He had 3 for 3 hits off of pitches at bat!

Easter 2015

We spent Easter weekend at the Lake.

Saturday was spent celebrating Karlee, Kevin, and Darla's birthdays as well as Kevin and Darla's anniversary!

Sunday was a beautiful Easter!

Remember how at the beginning of the year, I resolved to blog more?

...here we are at the end of March...

Oh well, the other things I resolved to do are going better!

Not perfect, but that's okay.

We have been up to our ears in busy life!

Colton is thriving at home, healthy and growing.

....sleeping through the night?...well, not so much.

Landon and Emmett love being brothers.

We are still fostering, and we love it!

Last night was finally date night, and we saw a concert and ate dinner at Ballpark Village.

Chad also recently reached a goal for work, which is wonderful!

I am working, planting seeds for the garden, and have started on my quilt.

Life is full.

And we are so blessed!
