Its Done!!

We finally got our wedding photos so everything is up and looking great in our house!

Hello out there!

Yes,  we did make it through Landon’ s birthday weekend and back to Rolla!

we've just been a little busy with "O Week" on campus.

Which is the week that all the freshmen are here getting used to college before real classes start.

Cru has been tabling and getting surveys filled out.

And tonight we are serving free ice cream on campus.

As far as on the homefront things are pretty smooth.

Except we've decided our household has HORRIBLE luck with freezers.

After having one flooded out,  we went to get a new one thanks to insurance.

We plugged it in and it didn't work.

So we returned it to get a new one. And it doesn't work.

So after an hour and a half on hold with GE we are getting one shipped to us.

Within the next week or so. I want my new one. The old one is stuffed full and a mess to get into!

I fear for whoever picks up the phone if Chad has to report another non-working freezer.

It's just so frustrating!!

Yes, I'm still job hunting. boo.

She vs He, Part 3. Pest Control.

Yep, its about that time again.

She: fought jet lag for the first week being home.
He: had no idea how to handle a now nocturnal wife.

She: would get hungry in the middle of the night, with a belly still on China time.
He: would wake up sometimes to see her in the kitchen eating. At 3am.

She: would lay awake for part of the night.
He: had NO issues sleeping.

She: would swear she heard some kind of small creature crawling around their room.
He: would be asleep and not hear it.

She: woke him up in the middle of the night asking if he heard anything.
He: would tell her the sound was just her stomach growling and to go get a snack and go back to sleep.

She: KNEW it was not her stomach growling and once woke him up 3 times in a row when she heard the noise.
He: told her she was imagining it.

She: started to see certain small, black pellets around the house.
He: must have ignored them, because he said he didn't see any.

She: finally made her point enough by waking him up in the middle of the night that...
He: went and bought 4 traps and some poison and set them up.

She: went inside today and found a small gray mouse caught in a trap.
He: can now admit that she was right and it was not just her stomach growling.

She: left the mouse right where it was in the trap for him to take care of when he gets home from work.
He: has a pest to get rid of now.

She: can now say,

"I told you so, honey!"

 Yes, this really happened. Yes, he thought it was my stomach still on China time.

And Yes, I was RIGHT! :)

Super-Nephews

Okay, so I couldn't wait to give the boys their capes until Landon's superhero 3rd birthday party.

So I gave them to them this past weekend.

And boy, did they look CUTE!

Landon means business in his cape, haha.

While I was working on these during the week, I was telling Chad that I was going to make him one to wear to the birthday party too.

He told me not to, which I figured he would.

But then I got a good laugh when, right after I handed Landon his cape, he said,

"Unca Swad (Uncle Chad), you have a cape too?"

I think he needs one now.

On the move!

Landon hold his cape out behind him and runs while yelling, "LOOK! I FLYING!!!!"

Seriously, could they get any cuter?

Touring Hong Kong

Touring Hong Kong was fun!

We took the train into town...

...Signed up for a Big Bus Tour...

...where you apparently can't talk to the driver.

We went up Victoria Peak in a cable car,

And loved the views of the city from that high up!

We rode on a Sampan tour...

...to see the floating city.

We also shopped, but I didn't get any pictures of that!

It was a good time, but we were all ready to be HOME!
