A Speeding Ticket

No. I didn't get one.

Neither did Chad.

I am just saying that here it is at the very end of October.

Already.

Sheesh.

So what has been going on?

Chad has started football season, with 4 games already.

And a record of 4-0 heading into the playoffs.

Which start next week.

Along with volleyball season.

Oh, and Sunday he has the soccer tournament to end the season.

We can't catch a break from sports!

Last weekend we were in STL for Mom's birthday, and a very busy weekend with the boys.

And we brought all our Christmas decor back from storage in Mom's basement.

This week started off quickly.

I have about 30 hours of work this week thanks to some catering orders and someone quitting.

Another one leaves after this week.

So that means more work hours, along with school work and my husband and all the housework.

Pray for me y'a'll.

It's a huge juggling act.

Yeah, no wonder I think October deserves a speeding ticket.

Emmett Turns One!

Its so hard to believe that Emmett is one already!

Despite a very short nap, little man was happy to be the birthday boy!

Train cake and food.

Emmett LOVED his cake!

He also loved the bath he got afterwards to clean all the cake off!

And of course he got to open some presents!

Football season!

Its halfway through October and I am just now writing.

That's sad.

Its deep into football season.

Which means we spend about  3 nights out of the week watching football.

I am definitely not complaining, I am a coach's daughter after all, but being deep into football season means soccer is on its last few weeks for Chad.

Does that mean we get to slow down a little?

Of course not.

Because football started Tuesday.

Football will last through the beginning of volleyball and volleyball will run through the end of the semester.

I still have no idea how we keep up with it all.

Some things do fall by the wayside.

Like this blog.

I finished my Early Fall session of school with A's and B's, so that is good.

I had last week off and this week as well.

Its nice, except that I am still not over being sick.

I did hit a big milestone last week.

I had my first ever blood draw without someone there to hold my hand.

And I was a big girl and didn't cry.

Yes, pathetic.

But still a milestone.

We also celebrated 5 months this past Friday.

Time is going WAY too fast!

5 and 3

I guess I still think of my siblings as ages 5&3. Which is why I felt a little old when dad sent me the pictures of the two of them dressed up for Josh's first homecoming!

Yes, I feel old. And that business needs to stop!

A Weekend With the Nephews

We spent the weekend babysitting the boys since their mom and dad had a wedding to go to.

It was awesome!

They played in the tub...
We watched football...

...and played all day long!
Brotherly Love!
Yeah, Emmett, I had fun this weekend too!

The Chaos We Live In...

Its been about 2 weeks since I posted anything about our lives.

Is it that nothing is going on?

Ha.

Actually, the opposite.

We are busy busy busy.

Chad's soccer league through The Center kicked off last Sunday, to the tune of a team member from the opposing team snapping his leg.

I could go a VERY long time without hearing anything like that again.

They won the first game and lost the second, and then today they won again.

Chad has played goalie mostly, but today he got to run and scored!

I'm a proud wife.

I am working still (more).  I average about 27 hours weekly throughout the week, but I have weekends off.

This is nice, especially since I got booked to make 4 dozen cupcakes for a birthday party this upcoming weekend.

This weekend we went back to the lake to visit Chad's parents.

Man, we missed them.

It was weird going from seeing them daily to now seeing them monthly.

We had a lot of fun together.

Next weekend we join my family it STL.

We are babysitting the nephews while L&T are at a wedding.

That should be fun!

I have loads of things to do around this house.

But usually, I just want to come home from work and relax!

On an exciting note, I got an updated Ellie picture from Chenzhou.

That made my week!

She is growing and changing and SO beautiful!

Random post, due to random thoughts, but at least now you know!

Starting September

Wow. I have been failing at blogging.

Actually, I have just been WAY busy.

Well, we have been way busy.

Coordinating schedules with 2 jobs, 2 school schedules, Cru events, and an upcoming soccer season has us pretty well booked.

This weekend was  no different. Busy as usual, but in a very good way!

On Friday night, we went to see The Lion King at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis.

Wow. It was awesome.

Saturday, we went to Lauren and Dillon's wedding.

I think we were especially excited because Lauren has been living with us up until the wedding, so we got to see her excitement for this day build up!
